There are many ways to get involved in our church community beyond our Sunday morning worship.

  • hang out with our youth group, grades 8-12, for weekly Sunday School (9:45-10:45) and bi-weekly fun events. If you’re not young enough to qualify, accompany the youth group as a sponsor!
  • be part of a formal small group meeting monthly or bi-weekly for conversation, Bible study, sharing, prayer, and/or fun. Email Joe or the church office to find a group that fits your schedule.
  • come before the worship service on Sunday mornings for Sunday School classes and conversations (9:45-10:45). There are classes for kids (K-gr.7), youth (gr.8-12), and adults (no grades at all, we promise!). Check the calendar to see if there are classes happening this Sunday.
  • drop in or regularly attend one of these social/activity groups and events: the “Needles and Knots” quilting group, the Ladies Friendship Circle, the Community Kitchen, the Women’s Network, the Men’s “Book Club”, the Wildwood Moving Company, random young adult gatherings, and more. Check the church calendar and weekly bulletin for gathering times/locations and other information.
  • volunteer to help in the work of the church: from practical concerns to worship planning to pastoral care to leadership, we’re at our best when the work is shared. There’s sure to be a place where you can share your gifts!

We are also active participants in the life of our community and our city:

  • We host and coordinate a community garden shared among church members and our neighbours, supported by Saskatoon’s Child Hunger and Education Program (CHEP). http://www.chep.org/cg/index.html
  • We have been long-time supporters of The Bridge on 20th and their community-building street ministry, and grow a large plot of garden vegetables for their soup kitchen every year. http://thebridgesaskatoon.com/
  • We share our building with several other groups, including the Jesus Christ Giver of Life Ministries Filipino congregation, LINC English language classes through the Saskatchewan Intercultural Association http://saskintercultural.org/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=29&Itemid=33, and several Al Anon support groups.
  • We are active participants in the work of Mennonite Central Committee Saskatchewan and its work with Refugee Assistance, Restorative Justice, Aboriginal Neighbours, the Village Green thrift store, global relief and peace-building efforts and more.

For more information on being part of any of the above, contact the church office and check the church calendar to see what is happening when.
