We often dismiss the idea of a second coming and rapture theology but we forget to actually think about what we believe about the next step of the story. Perhaps it is time to put away some old ideas of the end, and to re imagine what type of second coming the Bible shares with us.

Read "Rapture Revelation" from Krista Loewen

When it comes to the future, what do we really know?  Sure, there are lots of things that we hope for, and the Bible has lots to say about the End and After the End (though maybe not as many details as some would like).  But what can we really know for sure?  And, do the stories we tell and the images we project about the future line up with what we already know of God?

Read "Who Knows?" from Joe Heikman, or listen below.

Jesus brings his Sermon on the Mount to a close (Matt 7:13-29) with four metaphors about choices: between two paths, between two trees, between two destinations, and between two methods of buildings.  All four ask the same question: what will we do with Jesus' teachings?  Our actions matter.  We see the impact of "walking the path" through the examples of Menno Simons, Dorothy Day, Tabitha of Joppa, and the victims of the recent murders at the Emmanuel AME Church in Charleston, SC.
