"What must I do to inherit eternal life?" the man asked Jesus?  Modern Christians have lots of answers for this question: say a prayer, confess our sins, affirm a creed, accept God's gift...maybe even nothing at all.  Jesus gave a solid, familiar, very Jewish answer--"Love the Lord your God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, and love your neighbour as yourself."  And a story, again very familiar, of the Good Samaritan.  We know these answers, but are we hearing and practicing them?

Where do you need to create sanctuaries of hope in your life as we look towards Christmas and Christ's birth? Find inspiration from the pregnant teenager willing to have God erupt out of her in song and form.
