Change.  We all know how we feel about it.  It’s always welcome and always wanted.  It’s always needed…we yearn for it.  It’s something that is never difficult and we are never ever frustrated or stressed or worried by it.  Right?  Okay, maybe not.  Where is the goodness in transitions that we may not have asked for and may not be handling particularly well?

Psalm 84:1 "How lovely is your dwelling place, O Lord!"  This Psalm was written about worship in the historic Temple in Jerusalem--which no longer exists.  This raises the question: where is God's House?  Throughout biblical history, people have encountered the Presence of God in many different places.  As we celebrate and dedicate our newly renovated church building, what can we learn from this rich history about the purposes of our church and how we use our space for God?

How do you imagine the Spirit working in your life? Would we notice if the Holy Spirit was removed from Earth? We practice thinking of the Spirit in community and reading scripture together in order to encounter the Spirit.
