After more than three decades, the debate about same-gender relationships continues on in the Mennonite Church.  As faithful Christians can't reach a consensus, it seems like the Spirit of God is saying different things to different people.  What is God up to?  Can we see this debate as a gift, an invitation to re-examine our beliefs, to learn to know God, and to build healthier relationships?

Read "What Convinced You? - part 1" from Joe Heikman (part 1 of 3).  Also, if you're in the area, don't miss the opportunity to join the discussion on upcoming Thursday evenings and the Jan 24 "Speaking Out: Voices of Sexual Diversity" event!

It's Epiphany Sunday--what is that?  "Epiphany" means to make manifest, to make apparent.  What becomes apparent in the story of the magi's visit to Jesus?  What does it look like for us to live in light of that same light now?

Read "Mysterious Magi" from Krista Loewen

The characters of the Christmas Story aren't just figurines in a nativity set; they were real people with real lives, hopes, and dreams.  Ordinary people in all of those ways, from the sounds of it--and yet God reached in and transformed the ordinary into the sacred, the normal into the miraculous.  What might that experience have been like for Joseph?  What might we learn about what it means to trust and serve the God who might just break into our own time and space at any moment?

Read "Joseph's Story", a dramatic monologue by Warren Epp
