In this section of the Sermon on the Mount (Matt 5:21-26), Jesus draws the comparison between murder and anger: “You have heard that it was said to those of ancient times, ‘You shall not murder’; and ‘whoever murders shall be liable to judgment.’ But I say to you that if you are angry with a brother or sister, you will be liable to judgment..." So, Anger = Murder? Is that what Jesus really means? And what's with the warning about altars and courts and endless jail time that follows?
