My _______ is better than your ______. Most of us can fill in those blanks pretty easily, in our heads if not out loud. Especially when it comes to religion. I’m a Mennonite because I choose to be, because I think it’s a better way. And at some point, that "better for me" can become a "better than yours," and then an "I’m better than you."

How can we fully celebrate and engage in our identity without demeaning and diminishing the identities of others? Is there a balance to be struck somewhere between superiority and syncretism?
